When is the best time to sell in Calgary?
Spring and early summer are usually the busiest months for Calgary home sales, but the right time depends on your own plans, your next home and what’s for sale in your area. Rene can show you how your community’s market has moved over the past year.
Should I buy my next home first or sell first?
Selling first means you know exactly what you have to spend, but you may need somewhere to stay in between. Buying first means you know where you’re going, but you could carry two homes for a while. Rene will talk through the options, including offers that are conditional on the sale of your current home.
What does it cost to sell?
Beyond the REALTOR® commission (explained in full in the listing agreement before you sign), plan for your lawyer’s fees, any penalty for paying off your mortgage early, moving costs, and any repairs or cleaning you choose to do before listing. Alberta has no land transfer tax for buyers or sellers.
